Our premium matcha offering. Grown under shade for longer, thereby increasing chlorophyll. This is noticeable with the deeper green colour. Lower grade matcha (or older teas) would have a paler green/brown hue.

Sweet, grassy and distinct in mouthfeel, Matcha is the stone ground powdered green tea traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony.

Compared to other teas, matcha powder is said to contain five times the amount of active compounds. This is due to you effectively ingesting the tea as opposed to drinking the infusion from the leaves. It can lead to a somewhat unique effect on the drinker. A level of tranquil alertness which is a prized state of mind if needing to focus for work or health.
