White Tea

White tea originated north of the Min river in China’s Fujian province. It is in this region, 1000m above sea level, where our teas are cultivated organically using the classic leaf- withering process. White tea is the least processed of all tea types, resulting in a milder flavour, less bitterness and a sweeter finish than green tea. The tea is simply gathered and dried - often in the sun. The manufacturing process includes no withering, no steaming, no rolling, no oxidising and no shaping.

Compared to other teas they are thought to contain the highest concentrations of antioxidant polyphenols.
