This is the most beloved tea of Japan. Developed in the 18th century, the process of making Sencha has evolved into the art and science of preserving the fresh green character and the healthy components of tea. Our Sencha Saemidori has a a deep juicy flavour.

20 days before harvest, canopies are erected over the bushes to slow down the growth and increase chlorophyll concentration in the leaves - developing the deep green colour further. The attention to detail when harvesting and processing Japanese green teas is what sets this region apart from others.
