English Breakfast

Britains favourite choice of tea. When deciding on how to create this black tea blend we didn’t take it lightly. 

There is a distinct profile that English Breakfast teas need to hit - so we set about the task by exploring what some of the most popular brews in the UK were doing. We realised that the ‘nice flavour’ elements constituted around 25% of the blend, with the rest being fillers (mainly low grade Kenyan teas).

So we had a crazy idea..How about we create the blend with 100% of the good stuff. Larger particle size which allows more aromatic oils to remain - creating nuanced flavour and not just one dimensional punch. We visited Sri Lanka and spoke with the farms who made ‘that 25%’ and set about to make our own version of English Breakfast tea. This loose leaf tea is a blend of medium to high elevation black teas from Sri Lanka.

In the cup expect the reassuringly familiar taste that you are used to, without the bitter and flat elements that supermarket brands contain. You can drown with milk and take with or without sugar. As you please.
